The Leon Trotsky Internet Archive in conjunction with Index Books, inheritors of New Park Publications collection of the writings of Leon Trotsky presents here one of Leon Trotsky’s most masterful collection of political biographies, memoirs and vignettes. Published for the first time in 1972 in English, much of the material appeared in Trotsky’s Collected Writings issued by the Soviet Government before the he, his ideas and his supporters were purged from official Stalinist history.
